About

An anonymized memoir of my times in the trenches as a software engineer, presented, I hope, with neither vitriol nor sugarcoating... but plenty of snark.

Hopefully this will be accessible to the general public, although I may at some point add sidebar posts for more technical discussion. If you want to get a bit of an insight into what the life of a techie is like, hopefully this blog will be helpful. Or it may cause you to stop being friends with them. Uh, sorry, if that's the case. If you're a tech had and reading this causes you some kind of episode, I'm sorry for that, too.

In my career I have mainly been a Windows software engineer, working for companies in Australia, Europe, and the United States. I think I've learned a few things along the way, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

The blog feed does not show the articles in chronological order, for the simple reason that I don't want to write them in order. If you want to get an idea of where everything belongs, please check the contents page.

Cheers,

Pike
